Christina Aguilera is said to be so fuming about the lack of interest in her recent People magazine cover that she has fired her day-to-day manager, her PR firm (BWR) and an assistant.

The cover, featuring 5-week old son Max Liron, has apparently only sold about 1.3 million copies, less than their usual selling amount.

Maybe if Christina was married to another celeb, there might have been more interest.

The mag paid Aguilera over $1 million for the use of those photos.

According to reports, a source said, “She went crazy and had a massive tantrum. It was astonishing. She was absolutely furious and blamed her staff for the way everything had been handled. She decided BWR had to go, then gave her day-to-day manager and one of her assistants their marching orders too.”

Jennifer Lopez and hubby Skeletor, though, are expected to receive close to $5 million for photos of them with their newborn twins. Wonder if that $5 million investment will pay off? Or will Jen be firing her people as well?

Remember a few years ago when there doubts about Christina Aguilera's staying power?

Seems like ancient history now.

On last year's "Back to Basics" tour, Aguilera looked like the second coming of Marilyn Monroe, with the voice of a bluesier Whitney Houston.

If you missed it, tune into VH1's "Back to Basics Tour: Live and Down Under," a one-hour concert special shot in Sydney last July airing on Saturday at 10 p.m.

From her tentative start on a Star Lake Amphitheatre stage back in 1999 during the Lilith Fair, Aguilera has grown to be a dynamo who commands a stage with a powerful voice, great moves and more leg than she really needs to be showing.

The production couldn't be any more lavish with a state-of-the-art stage full of musicians and dancers who double as circus performers. Aguilera blows from one flashy costume to the next while belting out R&B/soul like "Ain't No Other Man" and "Back in the Day," sassing through the swing era with "Candy Man" and scorching the place with the show-stopping ballad "Beautiful."

The camera doesn't stay on a shot for more than three seconds, which is frustrating, but Aguilera never fails to dazzle.

The singer and producer Joey DeGraw criticized hardly the also singer Christina Aguilera in interview to the website News Times. Below it follows part of the interview:

"My brother is an oddity in that group because he actually is a great singer," Joey DeGraw said. "I don't think Christina Aguilera is a great singer. As a matter of fact, I know she's not a great singer. For me, there's great singers -- people who can control their voices -- and there's people with great voices, people whose voice just sounds good when they talk and you say, 'Wow, what (an) instrument.' And when you get that combination, that's really special. I think my brother has that combination. And I know nobody else does except for (folk artist) Martin Sexton. But Martin Sexton is not a pop star. That guy's an incredible singer."

RCA Records from UK confirmed the new release date official from DVD Back To Basics: Live And Down Under. See below the article posted in the recording company site:

It features performances of 'Candy Man', 'Hurt', 'Ain't No Other Man' and 'Oh Mother' taken from her stunning album,  Back To Basics. Christina also goes back to previous hits with 'Dirrty', 'Lady Marmalade' and other smash hits.

According to site Channel 4, DVD "Back To Basics: Live And Down Under" it will be televised and watched for the first time in the program T4 of the TV C4 who will go to the January air on the 12nd 2008 ace 11:25 am.

Like Madonna did with DVD The Confessions Tour where Sony BMG sold the tour rights for a television and pass this live, something like that also occurred with Christina and her DVD Stripped Tour Live In The Uk.

Christina Aguilera and Katie Holmes have signed to star together in a new movie. The pair will team up in family drama “Humboldt Park,” which will begin shooting in February - just weeks after Aguilera is due to give birth to her first child.

A source says, “(Holmes) is trying to prove she can do more than fluffy popcorn movies“, and starring alongside Aguilera “shows she’s willing to take risks“.
